12 September 2017: I was elected Treasurer of the Societas Linguistica Europæa (SLE) for three years.

28 August-2 September 2018: Organization of the ESSE Doctoral Symposium for PhD students in English Language & Linguistics, Literatures in English, and Cultural & Area Studies at the ESSE Conference to be held at the University of Brno, Czechia. The deadline for applications is 31 January 2018.

On 8 October 2004 I was the recipient of the Festschrift:

I was awarded a Giner de los Rios fellowship to spend two months (February and March 2009) at the University of Alcalá (Spain) as a consultant for a project on autonomous learning and lexical acquisition.

From 15 September to 15 December 2012 I worked, thanks to a grant for prestigious researchers from the Banco Santander, as a consultant for the Research Group ACTUALing in the Faculty of Philology at the UNED, the Spanish National University of Distance Education in Madrid (Spain).
